Será que isto é para mim? – What drives young people to participate?
The booklet Será que isto é para mim? is one of the results of the project 15/25 Participa, a partnership between ComParte/Fundação Maria Rosa and Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, in which 51 young people aged between 15 to 25 years old participated as “Pros”.
Both the project and the booklet provided opportunities for the young people involved to speak up about the way they see youth, their concerns, the challenges faced and the participation in the issues that concern them, as well as to issue recommendations for decision makers, entities and professionals who intend to implement initiatives that imply young people participation.
ComParte through its methodology, developed in partnership with the Norwegian Forandringsfabrikken Foundation, collects, aggregates, and disseminates the knowledge of young ‘Pros’ about their experiences in the systems they are part of, trusting that their knowledge can be used as a source of information in youth related decision making, being equivalent to research and experiential knowledge.
The information in this booklet was collected during the sessions with young people and then analysed and systematised to highlight the relevance of their ideas, according to criteria of transversality and uniqueness.
