Methodological Guide and Toolkit in Emotional Intelligence and Social Skills for Youth Workers of the Erasmus+ project WeGrow EQ Learning for Youth

The project WeGrow EQ Learning for Youth aims to support youth workers, youth trainers, youth leaders and mentors of young volunteers to ensure the social inclusion of all young people. The Methodological Guide and Toolkit in Emotional Intelligence and Social Skills of the project is a Coaching Methodology – both as a stand-alone resource and with a view to underpinning the development of the Curriculum and Training Materials – which aims to support the on-going professional development of youth professionals focusing on the competencies in supporting the development of Emotional Intelligence of young people with low school performance, school leavers and NEETs as means to increase their employability and social inclusion.

The methodology is based upon the following pillars:
– The use of non-formal tools and approaches to engage young people who are often feeling uncomfortable in formal settings,
– The notion of coaching as a non-formal and creative learning approach which can equip youth workers, low-performing youth, early school leavers and NEETs, overcome and thrive,
– The type of coaching intervention is in line with the Revised framework of Key Competences for Lifelong Learning (ERF, 2018).
– The GROW model will be used as a powerful framework for structuring the coaching sessions during the national pilots.
