INTEGRA-Supporting Youth Ageing out of Care
The INTEGRA project is funded by the Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme of the European Union. The aim of the project is to provide professionals working in residential care with tools that will help minors leaving care systems with social and professional integration. The professionals will be trained as ‘Leaving Care Mentors’ and support the young people. The aims of the project are to:
• Empower and integrate care leavers of the ages 16+ via an establishment of a support network
• Development of a mentoring integration program to enhance the skills of residential care professionals
• Acknowledge and assess responsibilities of state parent’s and the challenges faced by care-leavers
• Create a network of interested stakeholders
• Creation of the Platform4Cooperation that will be able to link parents, care leavers and stakeholders
