Cyprus-National Digital Strategy 2020-2025
This policy paper consists of the Digital Strategy for Cyprus 2020-2025 which was adopted in June 2020. This strategy is coordinated by the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy (DMRID). It aims for a national digital transformation especially in the fields of government, society and economy. The strategy highlights the:
1. Development of basic and lifelong digital skills-highlighting the importance of Cypriot residents to be able to interact within a digital environment
2. Development of ‘Next STEM Generation’ – increase in STEM graduates from Cypriot Universities and efforts to retain such specialists in the country
3. Reskilling and upskilling interventions regarding the private sector workforce
4. Support the digitalisation of local businesses and business sectors through the provision of upskilling, tools, support and guidance.
