A Place for Youth in Mediterranean EEA: Resilient and Sharing Economies for NEET – YouthShare project

The YouthShare project has been implemented in Greece, Cyprus, Spain and Italy and its aim was to contribute to the reduction of youth unemployment in coastal and island regions of the Mediterranean EEA by advancing the skills of NEETs in trans-locally resilient agri-food production and the relevant circular economies through social entrepreneurship and sharing economy platforms. It also aimed to boost the potential of social entrepreneurship and sharing economy in order to reduce disparities and increase social integration by means of an integrated multi-scala methodology and practices.

The three needs that the project is addressing are:
– Train specific target groups – i.e., inactive young women and migrants,
– Enhance employability by advancing knowledge and skills in social entrepreneurship and platform economy
– Establish long-lasting labour market engagement by involving stakeholders, research and Employment Centers.

The outputs of the project include training materials for coaches/mentors, training for youngsters, establishment of a platform, transnational reports and apprenticing schemes and mobility for trainees.
